This Hayman Reese Remote Mount Compact IQ Proportional Brake Controller is designed to give you even more control over your on and off-road braking. The remote dial and LED indicator can be mounted in a spare switch panel rather than your main dashboard or centre console. This leaves your brake controller out of the way behind your dashboard with only the dial and indicator visible. The two functions available in the Output Control Dial lets you set the minimum braking force of your trailer and provides an override function for added braking power when needed. The override force is activated by pressing and holding the control dial, and its force can be set by the user. Its Boost feature gives you the ability to apply more or less braking power when needed. When you adjust the Boost on the Output Control Dial, you can choose the minimum amount of braking force to apply when the brake pedal is first pressed. For heavier caravans and trailers, more Boost can be used for greater braking control. This feature is unique to the CompactIQ as a remote mounted brake control unit. It also uses a colour coded LED light to indicate if the system is operating correctly, whether the system is active, or if there is a connection fault.
